Instead of acting like you are conceding to the argument how about you look up the actual numbers like I've done in the past and decide for yourself? Being a lemming, and blindly following what the MSM spoon feeds the public, doesn't help you or anyone else. Stop worrying about what Trump thinks ,because the people who have a ton of hate for him automatically assume that the opposite of anything he spews has to be true, and that is a pretty stupid way to make decisions. so the chances of being killed while 'serving your country' (or was it yourself?) are far lower than dying from COVID.

Yet...who are we dragging along/paying/offering FREE health care to...for life.... for the "dangers' they faced and their "service"?

And .who here are the first/loudest voices trying to MINIMIZE COVID and the dangers it poses to everyone?

You obviously don't understand the health benefits offered to veterans so I'll lay those out to you. First of all, veterans don't automatically receive "FREE health care for life" and most don't receive any healthcare from the govt at all. In order to be eligible to receive any healthcare from the VA you need to have suffered from a service related injury/disability, and you get a specific level of benefits based on the disability rating you receive. The only military members who receive full benefits are those who have a 100% disability rating (loss of limbs, Gulf War Syndrome, etc.) or those who have stayed in until they can receive full retirement.

Death rates keep declining, testing continues - so more people will be found to have had it and never knew ["cases"]. How hard is that to grasp?

Yup, I forgot about that. They are also doing a new type of retirement now where retirees don't receive their healthcare until they are in their 60s. A buddy of mine who I was stationed with in MT was just forced to retire after over 20 years in, due to his position being eliminated, and he told me he got separation pay but he doesn't get healthcare until he's at "retirement age".

I mean health care...i got a scope...if i need surgery or anything its zero to me...it is so much more than that but...i would have had to pay if i never used it.

I know because my last wife had brain cancer...500k+ in treatment and it cost me....zero dollars. I have my house and life and a quality of life. My Son and I recovered from a calamity unscathed thanks to this glorius awesome country I was born in...CANADA. Health Care is the SHIT !!!!!

You do realize that there are 10 million more people in the state of CA than in all of Canada, right? You guys need to stop assuming the US can do what countries 1/10th of our size do. When I was in they were offering people $20k at 15yrs if they would take a 40% retirement at 20 instead of 50%. They put other stipulations about COLA raises and stuff too. Met with a bunch of EMT’s this morning. Joined some other folks for a class on dealing with shitty people. Learned some interesting info.

State capital is roughly a million people. As of this morning the number of admitted covid patients in all the hospitals in the city was 18. These are admitted patients. They see many cases and just prescription and go home.

County board of health put out a number of deaths for the city last week. The CDC’s number of deaths for the county is 40% higher than the county board of health has reported.

A lot of the EMT’s have had it or have it. HCQ and go about your life is what they’ve done.

Nice to hear some first hand accounts.
