At the most basic level in the political sense, socialism and communism do not allow choice, they are imposed on individual people.
If they weren't imposed they would be voluntary arrangements.

The part you are either missing or avoiding, isn't whether people have to work to survive or prosper, it's whether OTHER people can make you work at something they determine and you can't do anything about it. That's what slavery is.
Hard work is not what I'm against, being forced to work hard to fulfill another persons wants and needs, which is what a draft card is, is slavery.
If you don't think so, how about I form a government and send you a notice you've been drafted, tell you where to go, how much I might pay you (with debt fiat money) and what you will be wearing and who your roommates are going to be ?
