I really don’t understand why it’s so hard for people on the left to see what the politicians they stand up for are doing to their communities. It’s one thing to have ideologies that align with the left. I have no problem with people who want others to be able to go through life a little easier. But it’s a whole other ballgame to have those ideologies while ignoring the fact that people like Pelosi are living in their castles, while feeding a bunch of bullshit to the people around them who are destitute and shifting in the streets.We havent had a republican governor since the 70s [ mccall] and he cleaned up the river and did the nations first bottle bill and made all beaches public access, so it was a different time.
We have been solid blue since and its a mess. We are or were last in high school education out of all 50 states for a few years running, its a fucking embarrasment, really.
We are characterized as being a blue state but its really only 1 small county with over half the states population, guess where the riots are....and the exploding homeless pop is. Lived temporarily in downtown PDX until a year ago. The entire west side of downtown was covered in homeless a year ago, same mayor hasnt done shit since. Huge amount of POC in that homeless population and they wont lift a finger, not ironic.
Portland just became the new Detroit, I fear because we are really just a hipster backwater on the way to Cali.

I agree as well. The left can have a good idea the same as the right. Just don’t be radical.
Another example is Chicago. Obama had 8 years to help “his” city and never did a single thing, though claiming he would.
Pelosi is a drain on society. As are the rest in congress that have parked their asses there for decades. America needs to wake up and vote these leeches out. Only way to do it. America needs to go vote for that matter. Too many that don’t.

I think that all mayors should have to reside in "mansions" right in the middle of their city - downtown. Same for Governors. No more mansions paid for by the people. Put 'em in a 3rd floor walk-up in crack-town if that is what their city offers.

The problem with the policies of the left is many are blatantly self contradicting, but you already know that.
Many of them claim to be "against guns", yet they will need to use guns to enforce gun control. The left is in love with guns.
They claim to be against "bullying in schools", yet they (use guns) to forcibly fund government schools and
are okay with stealing the houses of people who don't comply.
They confuse forcible redistribution with charity, which is on a par with confusing rape and love making.
I could write similar things about the right, so this isn't a "left = bad and right - good" , it's just to point out, life isn't easier if the means used to do something is discarded. The means we use is part of the process and shouldn't be ignored.
Using peaceful means is the best way to ensure peaceful outcomes.

Actually, what if Mayors were forced to always live in the worst part of town - always changing? Bet if the rich dudes had to live there, their small sphere of reality would be improved for their self-preservation? If their kids had to go to the schools, stuff like that.
The right has their own problems, for sure, but at least they don’t act like they are doing everything for the poor, or POC, and use them as pawns while pitting the races and social classes against each other. Our Lt Governor is on the right and she’s just as bad as some of the politicians I can’t stand on the left. The politicians I have the biggest issue with are those who have the “do as I say, not as I do” attitude and there just seems to ba a lot more of those on the left. Trump even admitted that he took advantage of tax laws in order to do what was best for himself and his businesses. Every politician on the left does it, too, but try to name just one who has admitted it without being under oath. I don’t like Trump as a person but at least he has the balls to say how he actually feels about things instead of constantly trying to do and say what he thinks the people are expecting.

The 1918 "Spanish" Flu didn't start in Spain....it started on a farm in Haskell county Kansas......and then our Military spread from the now "Fort Riley" across the globe as they were stationed here/there for WW1. France got hit first. Spain got hit the hardest...thus the name.
the first round of the virus was nothin. Much like (the deniers see) Covid now. Lots of death.....but nothing like round 2 and 3.
Those additional YEARS of the virus (it lasted 3 years...like Covid will) came about because the deniers and not-so-smrt folks thought it was over and tried to go about doing what they always did. It wasn't over. It mutated and came back.
but History never repeats...so america is gonna be fine. We have the King to protect us and his servants to entertain us.
Ignore the heartless, pointed. and cruel "cancer" remark @hhibrownsbacker. A solid reflection there....much as you'd expect.
