Light blocking intake filters

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner but thought I'd share in case anyone else hasn't thought of this.

I purchased this aquarium filter material, cut it to fit in the intake vents, and it works really well to block the light from entering/escaping the intake ports (I got the 35ppi but 25ppi would probably be even better). I need this. I’ll likely send Amazon some loot today. What’s that fitting you have in that opening? With the grill on the outside. I just have a chunk of 8” hose hanging out of mine.

Tell me about it! I had black thigh high stocking wrapped round mine for years.

Looks nice , i am using black athletic socks and little pieces of duct. Your way would be a lot easier to clean. The socks get pretty clogged with dust after a few months.
