For you business people. Check with your lawyer, but if you want to copyright a name, an idea, a design, song lyrics, whatever. Mail it to yourself and don't open it.
If you do it a lot, make sure you know which envelope is which.

It's called a 'poor man's patent'. Song writers do this alot. Wife was a singer/song writer. We were both in the "musicians union" back in the early 90's.
