Ok...if you only use 14g (2 sachets) of gelatin to 1 pack of jello they will mold !

So 21 grams of gelatin (3 packs)
1 pack jello
1/2 cup water (would last longer) or 1/2 cup fruit juice (tastes better but eat them fast).
1/2 tsp lethicin if you did not add it to the infused cococut oil during creation.
1/4 cup infused cocount oil.

A whisk, a silicone spatula and a non stick saucepan or frying pan make it easier.

Have molds ready. If you have none use ice cube trays. or put in a brownie dish and cut them after they set.

Spray the molds lightly with non stick spray. They will pop right out.

Put oil in pan, mix in lethicin and get it to mix well (Whisk or spatula it)
When that is done add the juice and bring to a boil.
Stir in 1 pack of gelatin at a time (or about a third). Then add the jello.

Stir and boil for 3 to 4 minutes.

Get your dropper or spoon ready and start filling the molds.

You can put it back on low heat to keep it fluid.

1 hour or so they are set up. Let them dry out on a plate for a day or 2, the moisture is a problem. Keep them in the fridge or freezer.

Grape, Raspberry and Cherry taste the best so far. Lime is ok but a bit weedy.

They all taste better than what i made a year ago. A LOT better. And its really simple.

I made 2 batches this morning. Berry Blue (which turn out aquamarine thanks to the weed green) and Cherry.

This was 1 oz of decarbbed skunky VA buds and 1.5 oz of what was left looking for seeds and making trim bin kief. I think they are pretty strong. Probably 50 mg per gummy. I will try one later and see how they come on.

I used 21 grams of gelatin
And 1/2 tsp of white wine vinigar. I like them to have a sourness.

Flavor wise that nailed it as good as fruit juice but should have a better fridge life.

I could probably just make a batch and then make the next batch later...What is the fun in that.

Sour Cherry and Sour Berry gummies. Because they are green and not berry blue at all LOL

The seasonal colous were not intentional but i will take it !

I just ate one . You nailed the consistency with this batch. The strength instructions were a bit vague, 1 gummie = 2 caps ( maybe 4 caps ) O fuck if it equals 4 because I have to go get xmas bonus cash out of the bank for staff , another reason I am not hammering seed sales too much till New Years , amongst other endeavors , I feel so evil .

@gwheels, what is the mg dose per gummy? Is there an easy calc or something I can blow up in a spreadsheet for a quick reference chart? Is it similar to what you posted in your thread in regards to the caps?

I'd really like to make various strength doses and actually feel the sativa effects from an edible vs total obliteration. The lighter doses could help some people (non stoners) I know who may be willing to try it but are scared it will be too much for them.

With the ardent it is considered a perfect decarb. 100% conversion.

With a cookie sheet in the oven it is a 75% conversion into the buds.

Converting it to coconut oil is 81 % transfer of THC into the oil

Butter, avocado, walnut, extra virgin olive oil and MCTS are 91%

If you are making candy or gummies or cookies coconut oil works for everything,

Butter works best for real baking. Coconut oil works fine but clarfied butter is STRONG. That and bacon fat routinely place in top 3 infusion oils. I am up on my infusions.

Clarify butter...melt butter. leave it sit a bit. Take off the fat on top and leave the floaty stuff (milk solids). The clear fat is 93% infusion grabbing. I didnt believe it but i made a batch of brownies even i was afraid of. It works GREAT.

Then it is simple

Weight of product in milligrams (Grams x 1000)
Strength of product (20 or 25 i use to make it simple it could bet 15 if you grow that sort of thing).
Conversion transfer loss
infusion transfer loss

So Weight X Strength X (1 for ardent .75 for cookie sheet) X Infusion percent (.81 or .91)

so 30 grams of devastator royale (25%) in coconut oil works out to

30000 x .25 x .81 6075 mg for the batch.

That batch makes 2 batchs of gummies. I made 130 of them so its 6075/130 = 47mg per gummy.

:D

The reservation ones were 50.

I might try avocado oil again. If its in candy maybe you dont have that AWFUL taste. Bleh.

But 91% Thats a whole 11% stronger !

The berry blue turned out so green it makes me laugh. 100% cannabis green made the blue turn colour.

Thank you for the thorough and easy to follow explanation. Bookmarked for reference. Seems one of the main variables is knowing the strength of your material. One of these days there will be an affordable and simple method to test our buds at home. Or at least a more affordable service. Is there any advantage to using extracts vs. Decarbbed buds and straining? Have you seen any ardent knockoffs worth a shit?

Extracts are easier to decarb and make a superior product for flavor. But i have lots of buds.

And when you make hash all of that plant material needs to be stripped of goodness into butter and fortifried !

The magical butter machine has a silcicone thing you put in the oven with a sensor. I will probably get one of these in the meantime and check it out.

This is the hydro store in Waterloo Ontario. The price is good !

I love that most of the ingredients are off the shelf easy. Where do you get lethicin? Would it also be in the baking section of a store?
