First things first. You are you are going to need one of these (or it's equivalent) to fully enjoy this thread.

Alrighty, now that we are hitting a little deeper, let's take a few moments to warm these diesels up.

We 5x5?
This transmission is coming to you.

First up - @THT stock
Crocket farms (SourTangie X Tangie)

2Stroke Tangie.
Squat #1

This baby showed sex first. I have been back-burnering, waiting for a flower spot to open up. Nitrogen tap was turned off last week, and I took clones off the bottom a few days ago.
7 weeks tomorrow; had to get her out of the house.
She got the nasy- best stank going; of the four. Smells just like "Haiduk"
20191117_083712_HDR.jpg
She appeared identical to Squat #2. Showing lotsa pre-flowers ; hopefully, she is more bud motivated than #2. Never seen a 15 blade leaf before I met this girl.
20191117_083756.jpg

My kids associate this next tune with my '66 Mercury.
The pacing actually reminds them off the 390 coming to life, into warm idle.
Very happy memories, for me,,, this song means - getting up to speed.
Just like my car: Little snotty on wind up, around 1min.
By 1:45, the choke plate has give it up.
She is hot and ready.
8's in the kick, 15 in the trunk.
We flying now
Up next
2Stroke Tangie 'Slim'
Slightly quicker branch nodes, made for easy cloning.
Stalk rub is sweeter.
If you know me - you know I can't tell the difference: I think this one may be male.
20191117_084011.jpg Tossing 11 plus blades. Beautiful canopy.
20191117_084110_HDR.jpg
Most of you have probably forgotten about the fourth. She special. She will remain in hiding for a few more weeks, getting ready for the reveal.
Busy day here. More intro's to come.

More Diesel power !

Website mentions "B.C." , Fourhundred times.
Read the fine print- Stop the tourbillon de poussière--Home is where you hang your hat, you're Alberta boys now.

Next Generations Grapefruit Diesel (fem) Description

Logo Next Generation Seed CompanyNext Generation Seed Company Grapefruit Diesel
The Diesel chosen for our breeding program is one of the fastest flowering phenotypes of the Diesel that we have seen.
This hybrid between B.C.s` famous Grapefruit strain and the NYCD has astounding taste and smell.
Always finishes in under 8 weeks
Flowering Time: 55 days indoors

I put the brakes on all of these poor seeds. She is two weeks faster than the Tangie. I have 14 days to stretch out some clonable stock.
Race is on.
20191117_111301_HDR.jpg
I had to chose between, reducing the temp. or the light to slow this down. I am germinating and cloning in the same room, so unfortunately she got the stretch.

Topped and ready to rock

I Yougrooved on his tune until I eventually purchased in on vinyl. Only after listening to the re-mix did I realise what he was saying.
How did I miss that ?
I also, will fëk redhot in my car.

Red-flowered photoperiod-dependent strain.

Sweetseeds- Red Poison Auto® (SWS39)
met a photoperiod-dependent elite clone of Tangie (California Orange x Skunk hybrid) resulting in a rare and unusual purple-flowered phenotype, with a sensational intense mandarine taste and aroma.

She's a 55 day, indica leaning, red Tangie. What a time to be alive.
New to me, and a welcome addition to the B'real Orchard-
Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version® (SWS79)

This one remained directly under the light. I need some clones quick, so I am moving it off to the side; so I can blow this thing up.
I decided not to top it. I am going to snap-down the lead node and let them clonable secondary branches run up. This sport coupe will be compact when rushed into flower.

3 of 4 Tangies in flower, squat #2 clones are hurting. Squat #1 clones are going to do just fine.
I held onto one Ma-tiva, for motherstock. I am intoxicated by the smell of this thing, and I am already smok'n it ,,,like bon~fire.
I set a pseudo SOG come Flood table;
I am going to run out all the dog and indica clones. I am done with those. Also tossed into my little table of green experiment will be a few Zilla's. I still have a handful of those Zilla beans so I am just cleaning house in the veg room. I have all my Tangie stock secured, so I am just going with beans for a while.
My PhiloSeeds were of a 7 count CBD mix, and I have other bean to run as well.

some leaves grow entire new 5 to 7 bladed leaves on the petioles,
I believe that is what I am beginning to see. It started here and there; with a single blade coming from the centre, and has only gotten carried away from there.
Can't thank you enough THT, if you have any more chucks with half the heinous genius -let me know.
I just love watching these babies.

Kidding ( hasn't happened yet )
This is the ugliest BossMother'F'r, I ever did see. It has @ least three moderate issues @ the moment. 99 problems, and the bud ain't one of them.
At the risk of sounding like a complete pansy, it literally took me two hands, to snap the tallest lead colas down.
@gwheels dared me to yo-yo this shit,,, no need.
Honestly, I could build a tree-fort in this thing.
I could hang a wet bath-towel on this thing.
I could fashion a walking stick,

This Cheese absolutely hates me.
I am tuning for Zilla, and she is not happy. Looks like a subtle combo of heat-stress, ph, and over N. The poor girl is choking 'er back @ 1250 ppm now.
Not to concerned, as the Zilla looks virginal - except for the pregnancy part.

I know these last couple weeks are going to prove or destroy my new buckets. In hydro : If you can beat week 5 and 6, you golden.
I am itching to brag these buckets up - yet , they are still technically unproven.

She's got 23 days left to live, and 'dem buds is bigger everyday. I am near-shitz-me-pantz mode, because I know these gems are gonna puff up before they ripen.
Ugly beast, happy day.

Very interesting to watch these two plants grow up and mature together, side by side.
Germinated simultaneously, they have shared the same nutrient solution and lights for about 3 months, and are currently built into identical buckets. It is very obvious that the Cheese is pushed just beyond where it is comfortable.

Zilla had a slow start and never did catch up in overall volume. However, looking at the Cheese foliage, you would think it has been flogged to hard. Never toasted by light proximity, although the canopy shows what I think is Ph battle scars. The Cheese is carrying, over all, more bud sites, and presently the nugs are connected, swelling, and are also larger than the Zilla.
Looking at a gonzo harvest; although not experienced enough 2 pinpoint my errors.
20191119_225014_HDR.jpg
Getting there, but not completely satisfied.
Jewels doesn't stop until she glows.
20191119_225119_HDR.jpg
I just realized the head is swelling.
I can't get myself be believe that if I have screwy leaves, my buds can not be unaffected somehow. ???
If this was a dry'lander, I would guess : hot feed - excessive PK .
But I got make s*** up, when one doesn't know what's going on,,,
,,so I'm presently comfortable with that,,,
'Cause my HydroZilla is just a natural. This plant likes me. It has enjoyed a sheltered life, without adversity. Picture perfect, slow and and steady. She got weeks to go, and her best cards, yet to play.
2x4 Hydrozilla

There are dongs all day piling up under that canopy. I just keep adding circulation fans,,,It is just so pretty- I can't bring myself to trim it back.

These have always ate and ate, past 8 weeks. We got three solid weeks to put the lotion on the skin, until this girl comes up for air.

Cheese has me stalled @ 1250. To properly ripen the Cheese, I ,by rights, should be isolating it next week to ramp it down.
,,,But that sounds like a lot of work

When I started reading up on cannabis , I saw people referring to happy, upward angle leaves as praying. Now every time I see a plant genuflecting hard, I call it ,in my mind, a " good Christian. "
Yesterday, I happened to see two 'good Christians' who were strikingly similar. To my delight, I discovered they were different breeds.

Zilla clone
20191120_100407.jpg
These plants have never seen darkness. Now in flower for two darks , they rocket.

Skeleton Cookie
20191120_100611_HDR.jpg
Smoothest clone I ever cut. For me, it is like looking at new plant - grafted upon itself.

I applied some slick ,Edward scissor handed topiation, and I'm impressed with my identical results.
20191120_101240_HDR(1).jpg
I am going to tattoo them as twins. This is certainly not an experiment or necessarily even a test. I have never had the occasion to F' around like this before- so it is an opportunity to make observations. This is not a competition nor comparison, as the Zilla will build and flower longer than the skeleton, it was also 'root focused' : it filled the pot before it filled the canopy; whereas the skeleton did not.
Another dissimilarity found, is the Skeleton has at least 3:2 more media volume.
It has been said, that the Skeleton is a stretchy one and I know this particular Zilla is not. I am going to treat them identically to see if it is possible to tame a stretch.
Watching, learning, having fun.

'Scuse the spots. I am paranoid of PM so I Sulfer'd everything going into flower.

One breed is really f'd up
These branchy clones are throwing wacky leaves. The larger one went into flower very smoothly. I have never seen duck leaves on a plant before.

It is tossing singles. What does it all mean?
The mother plant pushed 7's all day long.

I tossed the dice with two plants and put the wrong one into Hydro. This backup 'zilla in coco is way more frosty. I think it has a bit more of the GG.

Hydro Zilla
20191126_224017_HDR.jpg

Staring to learn first hand, the challenges involved with same room perpetual flowering.
Feeding is time consuming and vpd appropriate humidity is a compromise.
A fellow recently pontificated to me, that: C02 in ripening can trade off potency, for increased mass.
He felt a cosy stroll into the grave would not trigger last minute thc production.
This theory appeared sound to me. My only concern, is if I were to slack off on the CO2 the plants flowering in their fourth and 5th week would start to stretch and larf out.

Lately I've been reading some interesting stuff about CO2 and the effect that it has upon stoma opening. I have read that because CO2 is passing more effectively through the stoma, that the stoma will not open as wide as one would usually see.
I also have noticed something else the article mentioned, in the fact that my entire garden is consuming very little water. Between the Hydro and the splash table there is 32 square feet of canopy. During the entire 5th week of flowering, every night, I would draw exactly 6 Litres of water from my aquarium and carry it to the garage. It was too much. I still have a gallon out there waiting for fresh nute.
I hold steady between 50 and 60 RH with a couple of higher bumps through the day.
I am thinking there is a pound or two of buds forming up in there, and I am not using a whole 'Culligan' bottle in three days.

This Canuck Cheese is supposedly done in 14 more days. Still pushing some nice white ,,,I cannot see it being ready by then.
