First experience with Rosin Press

I have smoked live resin. It is very terpy and tasty but so is rosin if you take it easy and just press the good stuff at a lower temp (under 220F) and less than 3 minutes. (no black rosin for me). Save all your pucks for butter or coconut oil and its 100% no waste.

I have pressed green flowers....they have too much water content to effectively press rosin.

My favorite so far is a 4 to 5 day dry in my dryer and then press them for rosin. The rosin is very terpy and it presses well and no need for a boveda.

The buds at that stage are too moist to smoke. So its win win :D

Horrible joke alert....

I had a belt of watches once.....it was a total waist of time!

You inhale more butane using a bic lighter smoking joints . Than you would dabbing a properly purged shatter.

If you fill a bowl full of 100%nbutane/propane and wait when you come back an hour later what do you get? Nothing .

Dont get me wrong they both have advantages it's hard to make .3g shatter and it would take quite a while to press 10lb of buds .

Imo nothing beats the terps of a fresh frozen live resin when done correctly

I think ppl are doing live bubble then pressing the bubble with sucess even making diamonds from rosin.
I agree there is some shitty shady shatter on the market. In canada at least I think it was , one company was cutting there shatter with some sort of pine sap . Leaving little white bits in rigs and on lips. I've also heard of a major producer adding citrus floor cleaners to add more citrus flavor to thier citrus lineup. Some peoples children .

I just cant see worrying about inhaling solvents when the boiling point is less than room temperature and your heating it .especially the tested products in America the tolerances for residual hydrocarbons is in the parts per billion. Its more dangerous farting in a car with the windows up.

But I get it if your growing your own why not make your own concentrates that are 1000% clean

lol. for a real long time...30 grams or less smell proof container and ON and AB play nice so we are good.

if it were edibles i would decarb the buds and then infuse them into my already beefed up base coco oil (from the ice water buds fresh into the slow cooker).

30 grams X 25 percent with conversions in 120ml is around 6000 mg of thc converted to mind melt.

50 to 60 mg per cap. Coming in HOT~!

Have any of you had diamonds and sauce?

Put full melt bubble hash in a rosin press
Collect all hash rosin
Put it in a sealed jar in the oven around 200-220 for about an hour
Take jar out and allow it to cool on a heating pad.
Terpenes float (sauce)
THC crystals form and sink. (diamonds)

Mix the two to your desired ratio and be blown away by some of the most terpene rich THC crystals you've ever smoked.

Tastiest shit I've had in years.

When i got stocked up on hash to that point i will give it a go....

That is what @Old ST1R was talking about. Diamonds and Sauce...wow when i was a kid we had mexi brick and we liked it :D ROFL

We had to walk 1 mile uphill to get to our dealers house. 2 miles back home because we were high. Those were the days. NOT

Yeah we had a lot of mexi brick, but wasn't it like Christmas morning when you came across some super good? What with all of the designer weed available today, it's rare to be shocked by anything anymore. Plus the cost now. I remember bitching about it when a QP jumped from 60 to 80 dollars. Also I don't get the locked into the couch buzz from today's weed. The taste and smell are better, and it's supposed to be higher thc, but it never Lock's me like it did then. I regularly quit for a couple of months to keep my tolerance level normal, but I swear to God I got higher in the 70s and 80s.

I believe I read somewhere you still can make it but you have to turn it to bubble hash after freezing product then you press the hash.

close as can get without solvents lol I’m not big on solvents really I prefer press but yields are good on solvents lol always the hard choice🤔

Pressing fresh green plants will leave you with water in the final product. But hang it for 1 or 2 days and you can get the terpiest rosin.

But there is a big problem. If you use a rosin bag the pressure will build up from the steam and as soon as the pressure is released it will shotgun out of the bag (in my case it blew a pattern of rosin puck on the garage door BOOM), X 3. I wanted to see what would happen.

Flavor was top shelf...burn your nose from the terps. To press it on the green side dont use bags and it works!. I tend to press 2 to 3 day dry buds the most for flavor and yield.

Live resin is a butane derived product that begins with flash frozen buds (asap from chop) and then a butane strip.

Flavor is very similar...live resin is stronger because butane and QWISO strips are so complete (they leave almost nothing in the residual pucks or matter).

That has been my experience. I prefer to use my dry material for hash. If it is dry the yield I get a decent yield with bubble bags.

I am looking for the best deal on a wax atomizer but don't want anything from China. Anyone have any ideas or work at a place of business? I would rather give my $ to a forum member.

The best is one with half kief and half buds for filler. Pool Rocks. lol. Those dog walkers last the whole walk and i usually smoke the rest of it later. I like a 20 minute doob in the morning.

I've always been a joint smoker, but here lately, like @stiickygreen, flower is beginning to take its toll on my lungs. I 've only been growing this "abnormally frosted' flower for a couple years. My lungs are taking a beating. I know there is a shit ton of THC in the resin, but what "bad" molecules are right there along with the higher THC flowers. Chemically, it has to be there. There's traits that a breeder can't get away from to get those higher levels. There is so much to learn about this plant.
