As promised @macsnax , here is a frost shot of the indoor Miracle Warp. It has been inside for 35 days so still a bit early on frost but smelling good.

I made a lot of mistakes with this one. Original plan was to veg it outdoors while my wife & I took a 10 day trip, then throw it in the tent to flower.

We stayed gone a month, it was too big for the tent by then but I cut it way back & stuffed it in anyway. It was a stormy veg time outdoors, the stems adapted by becoming rigid, no bend to them so I can't tie them down.

My tent has no head space, they are closer to the light than I would like.

I rarely flower indoors due to space, still dialing it in, I'll post her again in a few more weeks.

Cool man, she's pretty colorful for 35 days. Is that from being close to the light? Same q on the pistils? Not giving you crap, I understand you're working with what you have. I'm just trying understand the cross. If so, do you have a pic of a lower? I'm a strain nerd... genetic whore, whatever you want to call it, lol.

You are right, that was a poor choice of branches to post. I was in a hurry & not paying attention.

That bud caught my eye at first. I couldn’t really tell until I watched it for awhile, the top of the stem is browning there, it is where I made one of the late cuts, I thought it might be light burn but actually it did not like the late cut. I will need to clip that one.

The outdoor veg was too long, stems too thick but still smells great.

I’ll put up another soon.

Star Pupil from Mass Medical is very different than anything else I have ran lately.

For reference that trellis is 4 ft wide, she is large but not as robust as the Banana Kush to it’s left. A glimpse of the BOO to the right, she is sandwiched between @Useful progeny.

SoCal coastal has been gloomy for quite awhile, danger zone for powdery white mildew, finally some morning sun.

It has been a gloomy couple months here on the coast. Sun is a rare visitor lately. After the extra wet winter I am on high alert for Powdery Mildew. It has ruined more than one summer for me.

I am on it with the outdoors, no choice but to spray often right now but even then it is hard to stay ahead. I am alternating spraying with Lost Coast Plant Therapy & Green Cure so at least it is good stuff.

So far I am maintaining with the outdoor but took a gamble on the indoor which was deep into flower. I did not want to spray buds BUT I lost that gamble. Apollo 11 which is floppy & finicky but a great smoke, came down with PWM deep into flower. It was just the early signs & not in the flowers yet but too late to do much. I cut my losses, harvested the indoors early & shut down the tent. Sorry @macsnax on that Miracle Warp pic I promised. It is hanging now & smelly. At least I caught if before it showed signs.

Weird year, July & barely hitting 70 degrees on the coast in July.

Did I overreact? Maybe but that PWM can wipe out the whole outdoor crop in just a few days if left unchecked. Extreme caution required.

Man you know your environment better than anyone. If your instincts told you it was at risk, you probably did the right thing. The weather is pretty weird this year, but we're getting a lot of needed moisture. This is breaking a 20 year drought in my area, this summer is similar to what I remember in the 90's.

Edit...... You gonna put up some bud pics of that? When they're ready of course.

Powdery mildew is going to be super bad here this year. Damn.

This is the Apollo 11 that came down with it first, only 5 days before I pulled it. Not the best pic but it was thriving. It happened that fast. I had it out of the tent here for maintenance, I suppose that is when it got infected. It was not big enough to worry much so I did not hesitate to yank it but the outdoor ones are on high alert.

As I walked my dog this morning I realize that it is rampant in the whole neighborhood, on the other side of the fence from my girls are tomatoes & roses that are totally infested. Never seen anything like this particular year in coastal SoCal. Once it starts is just a matter of time unless stopped, which is difficult. Hard part of having neighbors, I can’t clean up the whole neighborhood.

I went to the hydro store today for a few supplies, many customers there looking for powdery mildew suggestions. Sorry to say they were being given bad advice. It is not easy to stop & it will not rinse off. Ha. If you see it every minute counts. Hydrogen Peroxide is your friend.

I use h2o2 religiously, to clean, sterilize, pm, oxygenated roots, etc. Half the time my fingerprints are ate away, very frustrating when you unlock your phone with your fingerprint, lol.

Regalia.

Thanks for reminding me of Regalia, I had forgotten. Do you have you experience with it?

I looked at it a couple years ago, I liked the idea & agree the organic systemic approach is the way to go but i got mixed responses when asking around. Not cheap.

Have you used it?

I don't have direct experience but it is pricey because it works. While looking for that link I realized they are in Davis, CA where I got my undergrad. I only live about 20-30 miles away so I am going to apply for some jobs there. LOL

If you are that close to UC Davis PM is probably not much of an issue for you.

My outdoors is doing fine, that indoor snuck past me, can't see very well in that dinky tent or I would have caught it right away.

Prevention is the key there, I probably could have saved that indoor since it was only on the leaves, it just wasn't worth the effort for the small yield. Outdoor would be a disaster if allowed.

A review test on the Amazon reviews for Regalia showed mostly fake. Doesn't mean it doesn't necessarily work, there were not many reviews but a big red flag to me on an expensive item.

The combination of Green Cure & Hydrogen Peroxide is the best I have found so far. I use the H2O2 systemically as well, watering with it about once a week. Plenty of Aloe in my teas since we have a ton of it growing,

Bet UC Davis would be a fun job, it is a great school. One of my best buds went to Med school there. I had my professor time myself teaching multimedia & computer animation 20+ years ago...being around youth, good & bad, hope it works out for you.

Greencure is 85% this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GGKKBPH/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_vj9jDb7EBXJAD
Just mix it with a spreader/sicker like the one from SouthernAg. You might even be able to get away with just using neem and soap which you probably already have in your arsenal.

2 lbs? That is a great buy. In I think 3 years I have used about 1/8 of that Green Cure 8 oz, it goes a long way if I only use it a dozen times a year but I am just playing in the backyard.

Neem Oil did not work well for me on PM but I would not hesitate to use some of the newer oil free Neem products. Oils seem to gum up the works with airborne pathogens for me. Those new oil free neem products look awesome. I have a sample pack here but haven't used it.

Environmental Toxicology? That sounds like a particularly useful & interesting (at least to me) major. Do you work in that area?

Occasionally, I have 4 or 5 occupations. Everyone in this space will see the 6th once my thesis is done

I've used the Regalia here for bud rot. Seems to work well. We often have cold/rain in late flower so if i see ANY funny biz everyone gets a bath. Can't say what would happen without it....might be smoke and mirrors...and I bought my gallon for $89...2 years ago....so didn't think it was all that expensive. I see gals now for $135 though....um...yeah......they heard you were using it on your "top shelf"/high dollar weed.... yup.

At least there's no cartoon characters on the label or funny/catchy name... heehee....

Thanks for the input @stiickygreen. Are you saying you spray with it in flower? Did you use it systemically too?

I think is is like $89 for the quart now. How much of that gallon have you used in 2 years? So much overpriced snake oil out there.

I probably have a third left...maybe more. I'd have to check.

Yes...sprayed all over them bitches......top to bottom.....at first sign of rot....or if it sets up that we're gonna have multiple days of cloudy/rainy/high humidity type weather. It has an odor but it doesn't hang about.

I originally bought it because 2 of my 8 65 gallon pots a few years back appeared to be suffering from stem rot. The noob in me was watering too close to the stem/flooding too hard is my guess....but I researched what I could do and while it didn't save those 2 plants (too far gone and went fast)....nobody else fell prey.

Certainly, IMO...worth a go if you can afford it. I mean...even with no market....the cost of BUYING weed still has to figure into the equation....and a quart would show you if it's worthy for your use or not.

And WOW....nice buds...and good work on the hauling em in and back out again gig... that's dedication right there....
