I'm not going to front, not having to water is great. Once the weather gets nice there will be plenty of other purposes. It's like when my son started cooking his own food. At first it sad because my parental duties were coming to an end. But I don't even like cooking unless I'm in the mood and he's always hungry, so now all I have to do is buy food and feed myself. Plus he eats what he wants and I eat what I want, and I don't have to sacrifice any of my portion so that he gets full while I'm still hungry. It's just a better system overall.

For me I think it's more filling only a 5 gallon bucket and lugging it down a flight of stairs every other day, and mixing up the nutrients.

The feeding itself is definitely repetitive too when it's a daily task. Also you can't be absent even for more than 24 hrs. Going away for a weekend much less a week of vacation isn't possible.

I used to have to mix up and lug a bunch of 5 gallon buckets from my kitchen all the way through the house to the grow rooms. That definitely got old.

Now that I keep my light cycle from noon to midnight it's a little better, but back when I was running it in the evening it made plans almost impossible. Just going out to eat or staying at a chick's house was a whole situation each time. And like you said, taking even a small vacation was completely out of the question.

Automated watering makes life a lot easier, and having a Pulse environmental sensor takes all the worry away when I'm gone.

My rockwool is coming tomorrow, so I'm going to go ahead and germinate my seeds today. It will to be cool having two stages of flowering plants at all times. My picture count is going to skyrocket. I also bought 4x4x2" cubes like I used to use. I found them to be much harder to overwater early on, and I can stack them if need be. But I won't have to do that because I can send them to their slabs as soon as they're ready. That's the other nice thing about staggering my grows - half the amount of plants equals tons of space in the veg room.

I am happy to know that I will be seeing extra pictures from your grows. Good luck with the germination and most importantly Rock and Roll.

I've been trying to find old grow pictures, but I barely took any up until recently. I was always super paranoid. Most about girls I dated when I would show them other pictures on my phone. One little slide over could put me in a compromised position. It's a shame because I have years worth of nice uniformed grows under my belt, but very little proof of any of it. Then I pop up with a string of experimental grows and crappy results. I wouldn't believe me if I wasn't there.

I'm going to scrog them for another week and then let them go. They aren't stretching a whole lot. I've never had to deal with much stretch, but I'm not sure why.

Also I keep my seeds under a dome until they sprout. I know that's uncommon, but they dry out too fast because they are sitting on a heat pad. I keep all of the portals open so it doesn't get crazy high humidity like with clones.
