I'm sitting here waiting for Growtek to restock. They sold out of everything really quickly last time. Luckily Cannarado's seed drops turned me into a pro at this.

I got my bilge pump for my auto-wastewater setup, but I realized that I ordered the wrong kind of "automatic" that needs a floater valve. Then I was checking my bonsai plants and discovered that two out of five T5 bulbs had died, and I'm out of replacements. I'm taking a steady stream of Ls over here.

Time for some dabs.

Found this little MFer munching away without a care in the world. I’m going to have to start bombing them hard. I think the plants are big enough to handle being drenched. The plants that were damping off are still growing, but I’m seeing signs that they might be headed downward.

Whatever though, lesson learned. These thrips are persistent. I’m going to buy the stuff that was recommended earlier and also some nematodes.

Most everyone talks about how easy it is to get rid of thrips but damn I had some hearty resistant mofos a couple years ago I bought two 5 gallon bucket of worm castings from a guy one state over little did I know him and another supplier were having a showdown his competition had seeded his rows of red wigglers with thrips and mites!!

No doubt. They also hit my veg room right when I needed to start seeds. I waited as long as I could, but eventually had to get the next cycle going. I tried my damnest to keep the seedlings isolated. Then heavy misting with Botanigard almost killed the little plants, so I had to lay off until they got bigger.

There doesn't appear to be too much damage, so I think I can take them out this time around.

On top of that they are suffering for calcium and magnesium deficiencies and generally looked unhappy. This happened during my last grow at the same stage of development, but I figured using tap water and growing in rockwool this time around would help avoid it. It's full strength from here on out.

I also spread out my trays into the full 4x8. It will take a while to recoup from the calmag issue, and they will be completely overgrown by then.

I just ordered one of these. In a couple of days I’ll order the Growtek system and then I’m done until I upgrade my lights in a few months.

I drew some water out of the rockwool and the ec and PH were both high. I think maybe I didn't flush out the slabs well enough before I transplanted, and also rushed the transplant a little. I'm going to flush them really well tomorrow and should bounce back soon. I noticed that the slabs weren't still soaked when I checked on them in the evening. I also inspected the roots and they were all white, so I'm not too worried. A little bump in the road. Was to be expected. I haven't used slabs in over a year.

I'm also having suspicions that I may just suck at growing with anything other than Canna Coco AB. I'm going to finish this grow using Jack's and see if I can make some tweaks to get it ironed out, but I rarely ever had any issues at all in all of the years that I used Canna. We'll see. I'm going to try my damnedest. They aren't horrible looking, just a little downtrodden and showing bright warning signs.

...

In runoff news it seems only one spot is still leaking on the drainage system. I'll seal them all just to be on the safe side. That was a fun little project and the payoff is huge.
