Growing Belushi...anyone watched it?

There is so much that is wrong with this show but I find a some parts of it funny. It's not so bad if you watch it only for the humor, realize it's 100% scripted, and realize that Jim doesn't seem to know as much about growing as he would like to portray. I mean, seriously...in the first episode he sprays their prize strain plants down with neem, "accidentally" leaves the lights on, and kills all the plants. What kind of large commercial grow op doesn't have their lights on timers?

I got a buddy that is all into that show. He takes everything on that show as proper. He just thinks Captain Jack is a weed God of sorts too. He’s hell bent on trying his legendary strains. I told him he may be disappointed. I don’t see anything special about Jacks strains other than they are old school lines and he’s been around for ages in the industry. The lineages are pretty respectable and so is he but I’m sure there has to be better. If that’s how they do shit and Jack is so well known why would he want to be involved in that shit show? It’s a good laugh at best. Both kinds of laughing too. The pure comedy laugh and wtf is he doing or saying laugh

What’s sad is I tell my buddy hey that ain’t completely right or whatever and hes like looking at me like I’m a dumb ass not on the same level. SMH And the Smell of SNL had me wondering who came up with that?

I’ve watched the 1st season, haven’t gotten around to the new ones yet, it’s pretty entertaining, but yeah they’re kinda in the dark about a lot of stuff.
I’d like to have a farm like he’s got, it’s pretty cool.

I read an interview with Baluchi and he said growing pot was the hardest thing he ever did. Said he did good last year and the interviewer said so you made good money and he replied he broke even so that was a good year.
There has been more than six episodes probably all that is for replay he had several last season while he was in South America trying to find Santa Marta Gold and such.

Most is pretty stupid but I want to see those million dollar greenhouses when done. I have tried watching but pretty dumb

I watched one episode and that was enough. Basic "scripted reality" TV show. The best thing about it is normalizing growing weed in the mainstream. Like the moonshiners shows.

I agree. I’m all for normalizing it even if these shows aren’t that great. There’s another show I haven’t watched yet called “Kings of Kush” which is about the guy from the Oxy Clean commercials who started a hemp farm afterl seeing how much it helped his disabled daughter.

Might be OK, but as the flipping channels voter that is undecided in a prohibition state, all I see is hemp and CBD and medical...

The Moonshiners - Belushi TV lineup is perfect

in that it is normalizing both homemade spirits (which are now on the shelf in your local store and branded ) and homegrown wacky-tabacky, which is treated in much the same way as an overall concept.

I don't think the outsider ever considered the fact that moonshine is cut to about the same proof as regular liquor. Before that show I thought moonshine was like drinking straight Everclear - of course it should be illegal!

Just shows that prohibition-speak is alive and well everywhere.

I watched 2 episodes of Growing Belushi and the while there were a couple decent laughs it was so full of CRINGE I just couldn't take anymore & deleted them post haste.

Just watched S01E01 and it feels fake as hell and scripted to the gills. It's cool that CBD actually helps his daughter though and he is bring awareness to the masses so I will give it a thumb sideways.

I've watched a couple episodes sometime last year, not much of a draw for me.
Typical todays Reality "not" shows, scripted bullshit that draws the sheeple along.
My wife watches some of that stupid shit.....we have 2 tvs ☮
I've smoked his weed......Mids
When I lived in Or, a local dispensary carried his stuff.
This must have been 3 or 4 years ago, I bought a gram each of two strains.
looked and smelled good, just no punch.

LOL! My wife isn't into those type of shows, but she watches a lot of crime dramas...and will watch the same series all night long. She bounces back and forth between the sun porch (to smoke) and family room all night so I ended up putting a TV in the sun room and I just stay out there to watch what I want. I still hang with her about the same amount of time and it's a win win.
