Replacing hydroton with water beads.

I'm interested in what kind of enzymes you use and what your process is? I usually boil the shit out of them with a little vinegar, then pop them in the oven at 425° for 45 minutes to dry out and kill whatever remains. Granted my setup isn't huge, I'm always looking for ways of doing this faster and easier.
Hmmm... I wonder if they(hydroton) could take a 30 min pressure cook in an instapot without breaking a part. Fuck it Ima try it here in a day or 2 and I'll report back if it works or not cuz that would make shit fast and easy for sure.

Shit yea, maybe that would work. Might be worth a shot to experiment with if there happens to be an old instapot around 🤔 haha

That time you were so high you said SOIL

Have you ever tried soaking the hydroton in an enzyme product ? I use it to clean my fabric pots and it does a decent half assed job.

If i use enough of it maybe it will eat the roots right off, that would be pretty awesome for hydroton.

I once started picking out a flood and drain tote and got to maybe a solo cup and said fuck that and it ended up in my potato bed for aeration.

I would rather use a 4 inch rockwool cube. That shit works great in a bubbler basket.

County Line Diesel is way more focused on the topic. :D
