Jesus. You’re not real bright.

Never said I was in the army.
Where you go what you do is chosen when you enlist. You can change jobs through your service.

If you go in to be a computer guy then that what you do. If you want to be a pilot then you’re gonna go try to be a pilot. If you want to go into special operations then you do so to go shoot people in the face.

A lot of work in South America was training their military. US military cross trains with other militaries all over the world. We also do training all over the world.
I trained in New Zealand once.
I never said you was in the army either ? Your presented with options that may be fulfilled yes but you do not by any means choose and state where and what your doing. If your a drone mechanic and commander says go burn poop. Guess what your burning poop. It's the military not the union. You can request deployment/station in Columbia doesn't mean that's where you are going. Sure your chance may be higher. It still isnt a choice.

From the CDC, from epidemiologists who have written articles about this virus, and from an epidemiologist who has studied coronaviruses for years who says this virus isn't going away anytime soon. The issue I have is with all the misinformation and shutdowns. We can't survive with the type of shutdowns going on for as long as the virus is still a threat and pretenting certain ways of transmission are more of a threat than they are doesn't help anyone.
Yes misinformation is a big problem that's is why it is quite important to cite your sources when you talk about an epidemiologist for example.
Many people have talked a lot without even knowing what they talk about: it is not even a flue, it is going to fade away with summer....
The human approach is to try to save every life you can using all cautious measure like washing hands/masks/isolation/lockdown...you can also have a more pragmatic approach by putting a price to each lives and calculate a "Return over investment" of the safety measures you will adopt or don't care at all.
Anyway you need data to make your decision so at the beginning of the epidemic you are left with two choices: the human one or the other.

? Once again completely off topic of the discussion. Homeboy says he signed up to kill columbian leftist. That's a pretty fucking specific reason to sign up. I mean what if he was sent to Venezuela. How upset he would have been.
Unless you are completely ignorant then you know your chances of goinf to specific places based on the branch you choose and the MOS/AFSC you choose. I knew I had high chances of being sent TDY to Korea and the middle east when I joined. I also knew I had a high chance of being stationed in Italy, Germany, Guam, and Alaska based on the AFSC I chose. The only over seas deployment I got was the middle east, but there were orders in the pipeline for me to go to Korea before I was discharged. If there is an ongoing conflict when you join, then the chances of you going there are high, so I think it's safe to say that shit was going down in Columbia when they signed up.

But did he choose ultimately where he was going ? 🤦‍♂️🤔😂😔😞🙉🙈🙊
Edit had to rearrange the monkeys.

Look at it this way. It’s a job. You volunteer to do things. If you want to go home you can. I volunteered for everything I did. Hopefully you have had a job but I suspect I’m wrong so I might as well go talk to a stump.

Burning shitters might be in the mechanic job description.

I got the AFSC I chose, I got the first base of my choosing for my first duty station, and I even got the first base of my choosing when they put the base I was at through an A76 (mostly replacing military personnel with contractors). I can't be the only one. The only deployment that I had no choice in was going to the middle east.

Really? So if I'm ordered and deployed for 6 months, two months in I can be like hey sarge I'm not really about this. Can I go home ? That's not the point i was making though like every damn discussion that's been quoted by you senators. Damn now I see why trump is on the pedastool. I was pointing out the claim of signing up to go kill a specific nation's citizens in a time of non war. Citizen may be a stretch but for lack of better word.

Being humane and survival rarely go hand in hand. Tough decisions need to be made and sometimes people have to die for others to succeed and live. I don't disagree with the fact that it sucks, but is it not better for the majority of society to survive and be able to actually live their lives? This is going off the deep end, but think about it this way... If some god of your choosing came to you today and said "I'm going to give you two choices and you have to choose one. Choice #1: I kill 0.04% of the population of your country, and the majority of those deaths will be the elderly and those who are already sick. Choice #2: I will cut that rate of death down to slightly less, possible in half, but will destroy businesses, the educational system, and put people out on the streets. People will lose their lively hood, suicide rates will go up 600%, and smoking rates among people will go up as a result from the stress in their lives. Which would you choose?

What makes you think that person joined in a time where there wasn't a conflict going on? Also, how is not being able to pull out of a job any different than not being able to pull out of a job that you were contracted and legally bound to do? The punishment is more severe but you are still breaking a contract you swore to fulfill.

Idk ask punisher hes the one who said you can leave man. Start using context please for christ fucking sake. There is always conflict going on lol? Some larger and more publicized than others. This whole thing started and continued from one point. Signing up to kill Colombian leftists. Now we're here. See how politics works away from ever solving or debating the key point? I mean this isnt opinion, experience, anything. Its basic reading comprehension.

You can leave. There might be repercussions .

Maybe 18bravo saw a conflict in Columbia. He “ “signs up” to go do there and do work. So he could have signed up to go shoot shitbags down there.

So are you saying you would be ready to kill your mother for somebody else business?
I am not ! And the same way I would not kill yours to save my business.

Remember what I said about your reading comprehension disability? @Punisher84 never said he joined to kill Columbians, that was @18B. And, yes, there are ways to get out of the military early without a dishonorable discharge. One way is to get discharged for a hardship. Another is to get discharged to further your education (although this is mostly limited to a 90 day early discharge). You can also leave active duty and finish the rest of your contract out in the guard or reserves. I even met a guy once who was drafted to a professional sports team and the USAF permitted him to leave to pursue that career.

He said he (joined) the army to shoot colombians . Context. Still spinning the story I see. Not I signed up to deploy to Columbia while I was in the army. Sure you can see a conflict and predict hey I might be going there. Doesn't mean you chose. I mean honestly punisher you wore a uniform. You think columbia was the only place shooters were deployed at the time ?

Lets put this in a way a 4 year old could understand...just for you.

If you were at risk of dying from a virus would you risk the lively hood, lives, and mental health of the country to save yourself? Or would you agree that sometimes some sacrifice is necessary?
