Silly question

Hey I have a 3*3 tent and a 2*4 tent . I have been vegging in the 3*3 but for some reason the 2*4 seems like I can fit more . Obviously it less room so why do I think this . Anyone have any theories? Any one prefer the 2*4 for veg??

My guess is it feels like more space because you can get to the front of every plant easily. The 3x3 is only 1 sqft larger which really isn’t much when you spread it across the length or the tent. Adding only 3” to the depth of a 2x4 would equal the same square footage of a 3x3.

In line with what @TreeFarmerCharlie said, I feel like the width of a grow space has more utility than the depth. Given the choice, I'd rather run two 2x4 tents than a single 4x4, and I'd probably do better as well.

I can fit 25 one gallon pots in my 3x3 and 21 in my 2x4. I still love my 2x4’s! You open the door and you can just see and do everything so easily in there. No side doors or reaching required.

you have 8sqft vs 9sqft - not much difference. And depending on pot-size and arrangement you might fit more in the long one. You will be messing with little plants more, so the 2x4 makes them easier to get to the back ones.

Set empty pots in there and see.

oh man that's easy you think that way because you're fucking stoned lol. and maybe have not yet did mockups in your mind or in the tents. on one vs the other to quell ur idea.
with all that said if u can fit what you want into the smaller space just do it and don't look back cause nothing else matters. use the other 3x3 for more flower/buds. smoke that dank and come up with another question...

that's a consideration i've been contemplating while i was in retirement. mainly cause i saw some pull a pound off a 400 hps in a 4x4 with 16 plants 1gal each.
with that said how are you doing your 25 plants in terms of watering and ease of maintenance ? can u show that tent filled at different stages. lastly how did u determine which strain would allow you to do that ?

I have used both the 3x3 and 2x4 for veg only with that many pots. Mostly for reg seeds and I’ll be picky and end up with 6-8 by mid flower
