My cloning method

Hey everyone just thought I'd share my cloning system I have seemed to worked the links out of. Here's a list of materials
2x2 rockwool cubes
Perlite
Mason jar (quart)
Cloning gel or powder
Clear Dixie cups,I use Dunkin ice coffee cup
Scissors or razor
6.0 pH water for spray

Ok so take mason jar and add an inch of perlite. Pre soak for an hour or so your cubes w 5.5 fresh water. Then cut cubes into half twice , making four . Make sure to poke a new starter hole an eighth of an inch deep into center of cube . Take your cut. Four will fit perfectly as long as you trim leaves accordingly. Mist twice a day and keep covered till u see roots . Also check saturation levels of cubes to make sure they aren't to heavy or too light . This will affect how fast they root . Hope this helps anyone having cloning issues as it's much more important than people think. Here's a pic of some I have going now . I made four of these jars this run to test the method and went 4/4 in 8-11 days. I have not had a lot of cloning success in the past with just cubes in the big dome so I decided what the heck, it’s only a few bucks to test! Thanks Sfrig, I’m so happy to be able to keep my first... keeper 🤣 😘

The first thing I noticed with this method is that the jars fog up so nicely with the plastic cup on top. I actually went out to buy slurpees for 4 days straight to collect the cups hahaha! Nothing else would get the fog going the same 🤷‍♀️

I also highly recommend the powder. It cost me $5 Canadian compared to over $60 for gels and other brands and was the only option for powder I had so I went for it. I would also add that you should dip the cutting in water before powder as straight into powder could cause the wound to seal too quickly.

The perlite and multiple cuts in each jar are necessary. You should not be able to shake water from the cubes and if adding water to the cubes add it right at the stem insert and only a little. I notice you usually only have to do this once at about day 2 and I use that as an opportunity to rinse the excess powder down the hole. Otherwise, just one quick spray on the leaves and one on each cup a couple times a day and perfect!!

Wait...what?
What is the benefit from the perlite added since the cuts dont take water from the bottom? Is it possible to just toss the cut in there and mist? Or would that act as what would make the humidity high. I mean if perlite isnt around the house.....could something like paper towels stuffed in there and dampened a little work as well?

It keeps any water that comes out of the cube from being wicked back up to the cube

Ty man I have tried alot of dif ways and this just worked for me . Thought I'd share . Tbh I am just relieved to finally have a method that works almost 100 percent
