I doubt my growing skills are good enough to qualify as a tester.. I'd love to but maybe after I gain some more knowledge
Sounds tasteyLooking like its gonna be soon. That CS treatment has the girls in the flood tray looking funky, so I think its working! If it does, I'll have fem beans of the Plemon, and fem seeds of a cross I made Im calling "Monkey Juice" (GG4 x Mimosa).
*Cough* *cough* Fem? Yuuuuuup!Looking like its gonna be soon. That CS treatment has the girls in the flood tray looking funky, so I think its working! If it does, I'll have fem beans of the Plemon, and fem seeds of a cross I made Im calling "Monkey Juice" (GG4 x Mimosa).
I'm going to try some Fruity Pebbles and Cross it with some of heisenbeans fire.Sounds tastey
If you can bring a plant to harvest, you can test. Most bean creators like the variety of environments and grow skill level different growers provide to have their gear tested in.More data points on the character the beans being tested exhibit.I doubt my growing skills are good enough to qualify as a tester.. ah yeah okay I see what you mean. Guess i didn't consider that at all..If you can bring a plant to harvest, you can test. 2 totes that fit snuggly together. These are sturdier than my hefty totes.I like your tote f & d. How did you make it
most definitely going to copy this idea2 totes that fit snuggly together.View attachment 3842These are sturdier than my hefty totes.
Mark your drill holes for F&D kit.I used the 1 1/4" hole saw.View attachment 3843View attachment 3844View attachment 3845

Bam! H.Red Flood & Drain tote done.View attachment 3850Took 45 minutes too long because my drill battery was dead.Took all of 10 minutes to construct.
Do it!!! lol I did. Copied it right out of Red's brain.I suck at design a concept, but I can copy my ass of with the right instructions. I can't draw either...but I'm a professional trace artist!most definitely going to copy this idea
Uh....I respectfully disagree, amigo. You don't "test" drive a car with the wrong plugs and half the wires disconnected. The info gained serves no purpose. Others may disagree, but I seek out the best growers available for tests because I want to know what the plants are capable of, and conversely, to know that if they fail, it wasn't grower error, but bad beans. If you can bring a plant to harvest, you can test. Yes but You better seek out growers who use all common grow methods as well , Hydro , soil , coco , indoor outdoor as well as different regions and weather conditionsUh....I respectfully disagree, amigo. Touche' mi Amigo.I may have generalized breeders prerequisites with the ...bring a plant to harvest..' line. A healthy plant to harvest would've been more suitable.Uh....I respectfully disagree, amigo. You don't "test" drive a car with the wrong plugs and half the wires disconnected. The tub rests snugly into the tote. They are the same dimensions length and width wise.Question. So that tote slides into the other one, how much room does that leave for the pump and how much water does it hold then. Or do you have it rigged somehow so it dont slide down all the way. I may just be to high but it seems like it would slide down to far. I have been thinking about making one also to make things easier since im going to be working all the damn time soon
When it comes to topoffs I just pour it right into the tray. Manually turn the pump on until it reaches flood height just to mix, then back off to get it to drain back into the res (dont forget to set back to "AUTO" if using digital timer). I also test pH/PPM by simply flooding the tray as well. The tub rests snugly into the tote. They are the same dimensions length and width wise.
There is plenty room for pump clearance from bottom of the tub to the pump.I had this concern also.
My hefty tote holds about 10 gallons comfortably.I'll test this brand to see.Possibly nearly the same amount.
What I haven't figured out yet is top ups and refills.
It'll be easy right now,but when the girls are bigger I see issues on the horizon.
No sliding of the tub into the tote.View attachment 3865
Feeling much better, much appreciated. Checked beans today before heading in to work and tails popped. Moved testers and some sure fire fems that I put in the mix in their root plugs and into tray with dome until they pop up and develop roots and then it’s on! Pictures will be added once there’s more to look at! Y’all keep it real and I’ll be anticipating those fem beans you’re makingNo worries, get healthy my friend. Im pretty excited to get some fem beans made up!
It's funny, 'cause that just seems to sort itself out because no ten testers use the same methods or share the same zip code. In all honesty, I have no idea what most of those guys' methods are. They either know what they're doing or they don't.Yes but You better seek out growers who use all common grow methods as well , Hydro , soil , coco , indoor outdoor as well as different regions and weather conditions
Problem solved. My man. When it comes to topoffs I just pour it right into the tray. For refills, you can get a 3rd tote and just drop the tray (still connected to pump) full of plants into the new tote and fill it from topside of the tray. Then dispose of the waste water in the used tote and have it washed up for the next changeout. Either that, or get a length of hose to go from the pump to a drain. The max headspace pump capacity on those are like 3.5-4', but if you were to run 10-15' or so low to ground and to a drain it would pump well.
Like I said, I doubt my skills are there yet.. maybe one day after a few more runs under my belt and more knowledge. I'm well aware I'm not even close to the same level as some of you guys..Uh....I respectfully disagree, amigo. You don't "test" drive a car with the wrong plugs and half the wires disconnected. Maybe with some help I'll get there
