Transplanting depth

When up-sizing "leggy" seedlings:
1. Do you keep the crown at the same level in the bigger pot?

2. Plant deeper until the medium level is just below the cotyledon?

Would the new roots from the stalk be more beneficial or is the risk of rot greater? What do you vatos think?

If I have a leggy seedling I will plant it deeper when I transplant. I typically like for the cotyledons to be about an inch off the soil. Any closer than that and top dressing becomes a pain in the ass when the plants get bigger.

I'm with farmer and that one. About an inch from the soil is a good distance for the cotyledons. I've gone all the way to them with no real negative effects except for it being a pain in the ass the top dress lol.
