I like to apply every other day for 5 total applications, and I start one day before flip to 12/12. I also dilute 1:5. It might seem overly aggressive, but it does the trick when less aggressive applications don't always as work well with some strains.

Or just go online, buy a small amount of silver nitrate, and a bag of sodium thiosulphate.
Both are easy to acquire on Ebay, and you can literally make gallons of it for pennies on the dollar.
No worries about refrigeration, storage in air and light tight containers. Just make as much as you need or for what it costs you to diy you can use as much as you want, and experiment with different concentrations.
Hell, the same goes for rooting gel, rooting powder, or alcohol based rooting dip.
Go online, look up NAA or IBA purchase the powder and make gallons for next to nothing.
If you want rooting powder, add talcum to the hormones.
want rooting gel? Add hec or hydroxy ethyl celluose, (cheap and readily available)
Want the dip? Add hormones to alcohol and dilute with water.
Once you make your own, you'll want to kick your prior selfs ass for paying 15 bucks for a small bottle of overpriced rooting gel you could've made for a quarter.
