I learned a lot of country ways to do things from my grandpa, one being his way of cross pollination which I still use. If I want to cross a tomato or one of my fruit trees, I take a knee high stocking tie it around the donor bloom, cut it off , take it and tie it around the receiving bloom, shake the hell out of it, leave it tied up and let nature do its thing. With this crop, that sounds counterproductive to me. Does anyone have a how to that I can learn from?
