Happy Frog and Ocean forest indoor use.

Hi

After seeing what happens outside...and the ease of soil. I want to try a couple of planters of soil.

I can get happy frog and ocean forest. I dont want bugs in the grow room. Would you bake it first? Or..

I will grab some on Wednesday maybe,

I never once had pests from FFOF....and I went through a shit ton of 40 lbs bags lol

Other than a occasional fungus gnat issue (easy fix) Ive never had a problem with either brand bug wise. I can say that the FFOF gives me noticeably better results.

Yea I never once cooked Fox Farm soil...not really sure I have heard of anyone doing it either. Im sure some people do it though...

Been using FFHF for years, never baked it and never had a bug or fungus issue. I use new soil with 30% perlite every grow.

2 bags OF to 1 bag HF then add 20% perlite. Added bonus being able to drop the depleted dirt into your planters outside when done.
I will get three grows from a mix.........the latter ones using more nutes but no biggie. Put some BT in your watering....no bugs.

2 bags of Ocean Forest and 1 bag of Happy Frog equal about 35 gallons. I will grab some 5 gallon pots because mine are all outside.

Happy frog for seedlings in solo cups and transplant to ocean forest. Ocean forest is a bit hot for seedlings but happy frog is good. I do see fungus gnats with ocean forest but if you let the soil really dry out they go away. For what I have available, they are my choice soils.

I use flower girl from the depot . Works well

I am in Canada and can get happy frog and ocean forest and its not too expensive. Way more than cheap soil but i like how it works.
