Why is my weed turning brown

It's mostly in the 70's and maybe occasionally the low 80's so not too warm. I do reuse lids. The price has gone up and lids are a buck a piece. (Yeah, I'm cheap.) Jars are half to three quarters full. It does get humid. (It's New England where it's always humid (but not west coast Florida...

Why is my weed turning brown

Normally my mason jars of weed are pretty stable once I get them to 62% humidity. They stay nice for months. But recently all my stored weed is turning brown quickly. Even weed I harvested in August is brown. The jars are stored in a closed cabinet so they have very little light exposure. The...

    What's this?

The light is not strong. It's an old blurple light that I use for veg. On the other hand, it is Aug/Sept in New England so it's hot and really humid.

    What's this?

Roots look fine, although a bit root bound but not bad. I add a teaspoon of General Hydroponics FloraGrow to each gallon of water. Not as feed but to get the water PH in the right range. I try to let my plants dry out a *LOT* between waterings. If anything, I let them get too dry and they start...

    What's this?

I have a couple plants that are turning like this and I'm not sure what's wrong. It's a month old plant in Fox Farm Happy Frog so it should have reasonable nutrients. Any ideas?

    Pick two

I haven't smoked enough to be able to choose favorites. But of the plants I've grown I have been liking Holy Roller from Archive Seed Bank that I got as a freebie. I have a mom that generates cuts that produce a very spacey high that lulls you into floating relaxation. It's great an hour or so...

    Reusing soil

Yeah, this is pretty much what I am looking to do. Although currently the 3 gall afterbirth pile is going into a big heavy plastic trash can with some water to keep it moist and a bunch of worm castings. The part I'm missing is: "your ammending formula" :)

    Books for the journey

The "Teaming with..." books are very good. I rather liked "Mycelium Running". But I find I am more interested in books like this:

    Greenpoint Seeds

I was thinking of starting a new thread, but figured I'd ask here. What is everyone's favorite Greenpoint cultivar? I haven't grown many different varieties but so far I think my favorite has been Copper Chem. (Sorry if this has been asked before.)

    Reusing soil

I usually add a couple tablespoons of General Hydroponics FloraGrow to 5 gallons of water. It's not enough to feed the plant but the buffer in the FloraGrow fixes ph in tap water so it is in a reasonable range for the plants. It's probably not needed but I believe in having ph in a good range...

    Reusing soil

I **REALLY** don't want to go down rabbit holes. I'm kinda lazy and I'm looking for a relatively simple solution. I agree about keeping the soil alive. I add some nematodes to my plants once in a while when I am watering and I let any spiders (not spider mites) that happen to move into my grow...

    Reusing soil

I'm getting tired of buying bags of Happy Frog and tossing the finished soil in my vegetable garden after harvesting the plants. I was wondering how people reuse soil after a grow finishes. I use 3 gallon pots so the soil is usually pretty much a root ball. Is it enough to break up the root ball...

    A Rosin Press Thread

I'll take that advice. Ordered some small glass jars from Amazon. That cannagar is nuts! I just need a more practical way to store what I grow longer term. It's just my wife and I and we don't smoke that much flower that fast.

    A Rosin Press Thread

Hi All, It's been a while. My family got me a rosing press (Dabpress 6 ton w/ 3x5 plates) for my birthday and I'd thought I'd share some experiences so far and get some feedback on things I could do better. I'm just pressing flower since I don't have the drive to make hash first. Here is a...

    Coconut oil settling

I poured the coconut oil back into it's original container so I'll just scoop it with a spoon and leave the bottom crud in the jar.

    Coconut oil settling

Hi, I made a batch of THC coconut oil. I ran it through a mesh filter to remove any plant matter. When it cooled and solidified I noticed that some left over sediment settled to the bottom. Should I re-heat it to mix this sediment back into the oil, or just use it separated?

    outdoor 2021

Sigh, loosing some of my plants to bud rot. I cut the bad buds off when I find them but I think my outdoor plants this year are going to be a total loss.

    Topping

I know that is the conventional wisdom, but I think anytime you cut something off a plant you are reducing the number of places it can flower. All the side branches are still there whether you top or not. By leaving the plant whole you are leaving more places to flower. My guess is that the...
