Anyone following along ever used a kief press?

Heating tips, hints appreciated

I was going to boil the whole aluminum chamber, then wait for it to cool yo like 170F testing with a heat gun. Then press?
Never used one…is it like a rosin press or is it more to start the decarb process and press kief and dry sift into bricks?

Can i ask to see how they attached the mesh to the frame?
They are the exact ones wackywilly sells. It’s a sort of epoxy or something

I have a wooden 12x12 frame with some 120m stapled to it. It works fine, but when I make the forever model it will have a groove cut into the bottom all the way around and I'll use window-screen spline to hold the mesh in. It gets gummed up from use and a removable screen would be nice.

It needs to be washable, and alcohol proof. Not sure about the RTV life-span if it's cleaned after every use.

Not to clog your page, but here's my rig. The mesh is stainless and on amazon in any micron you need. I have more screens to make more frames.

The pieces are held in place with rare-earth magnets, and there's a finger hole in the bottom and a notch to let you get the glass out easy.

What's the best micron for dry sifting?
Same as for bubble-bags. And it's strain dependent if you want to sift out the full-melt.
220m is a great work screen but so is a kitchen flour sifter be creative.
120-160 gets most of the trash and foliage out and leaves you with full-spectrum hash.
below that you're sifting trich-heads from the stalks and it depends on the size of the trich heads.

my set comes with 140 micron (110T), 105 micron (150T) and a 74 micron (200T)

What my plan is to use my trim bin which has 150 micron to get the majority of my kief, then use the sifting screens to separate and clean it up.
I always end up with a bunch of kiefy stuff that I catch at the bottom of my hanging screens. Normally I use it as a booster in a bho run, but it would be good for dry sifting. I made a small rock hard temple ball from the kief that had built up in my old grinder and I prefer it over bubble hash.

A solid plan!

Uhmmmmm nope. Frenchy would spank you and say angry French words from the grave :ROFLMAO:
If you sift out the kief using a set of screens (or bubble bags for water hash), then you find the one grade that will melt with low heat and is oily like butter, IF one happens to exist for that plant harvested at that time - THEN you can make a temple ball LOL

I have made one so far, and lots of wads of hash :)
