Strain Yield Vs growing style to maximize profit

There are so many variables to take into consideration. You may be able to hand the same cutting to ten different growers and AT A MINIMUM see subtle differences in the end product and its yield.

Factors to consider:
Genetics/Variance
Media Type
Container size
Environment/Climate
Nutrients
Pruning
Fertigation Technique
Indoor/Outdoor
Cleanliness
Air Flow/FAE
Add Quality/Quantity
Your credibility/authenticity/transparency

And so much more!

Your best bet is to have someone with a system that is "dialed in" that can be tweaked left, right, up or down to make simple adjustments as the plants talk to you.

I'd love to take part in breaking this all down and being part of the discussion.

My people come back to me because of trust. They know what food I use, what water I use and how I take care of my babies. It's what they always say about me. They will pay a little bit more for knowing how and who grew their weed :alien:
Good on you for gaining peoples trust and being transparent with them! Unfortunately, when it comes down to cash some people are shady and exploit opportunities. They nuke shit with pesticides/fungicides, pull early, etc. and still pawn it all off at top-shelf prices.

For example, I have an acquaintance here in town with a long-time small clientele as he is a boutique grower. $2k a pop for his Ins but I bet you $100 that he did not tell a single one of them that he nuked with Avid & Forbid two weeks ago. He told me.

Or, that even though he is in a brand new build out that he still has the chronic powdery mildew problems he had at his last two spaces.

I would chalk both of these up to FAE, climate, and cleanliness.

So add credibility/authenticity/transparency to my list in post #2.

This should be interesting to follow. I dont grow for money so quality trumps yield in my book. But is would be cool to see how others can take my strains to the next level with better setups.
I think that this discussion may be limited to quantity versus growing styles but I can add Quality/Quantity to the list.

It'll be a dynamic conversation. I am positive that @Heisenbeans has a lot to input as do many of us.

I like the idea of deep-diving into specific topics and that topic only. I could see this being a great resource for folks joining the site.

I grow for all of the above. Yield, quality and bag appeal. I'll get rid of low yielders no matter how good the quality tho. This has been in my tent for 5 years now:

Now I have a few more keepers from the latest Heisen pull.

People who have never seen weed like this get all jaw dropped over this stuff. I look at their faces as they hold and smell the buds. Their eyes get all wide opened and they drool a little. Then my finches drop by and hypnotize them into giving me all their money for one tiny bud :alien:

Solid greasy, gooey nugs. Heavy yielding strain and I cut off a couple good sized samples about week ago.
I usually run everything 12/12 from seed, usually yield right at 2oz’s, I think this one will be well over 2.
