Just trimmed up Banana Hashplant #3, Came in just a hair over an ounce at 30.1 grams. Sand like trichs and pretty oily. This particular plant is smelling very good to me. Currently with hints of candy/banana mixed with like artificial chocolate hard candy and a touch of a steaming pile of dog shit. I know, I know, dog shit sounds like it’s gross but it really is the opposite, I like a good dog shit funkadelic bud. 💩😂8A3CE853-4FFF-4E2D-BBDB-6E1740679BF0.jpeg05A167DC-E059-4199-92B8-DB4CCFEE1D87.jpeg5DDAD728-5272-463C-BF94-A0AA872F5E3D.jpeg

Here's a no-flash/flash set of my 8 plants. The GSC x CLD is on top, the bottom is the CLD x CLD. This was an 8th from each plant.

So far a few already jump out as stellar. One of the GSC crosses smells like Chick-fil-a nuggets and packs a wallop. The lavender CLD is the not as terpy as the blueberry purple, but it has the strongest head high of the CLD. Looks the frostiest as well. Both the green ones have a chunky two-tone Chemdog look to them. I haven't tested anything officially yet but they just hit a month for the first harvest so that starts tomorrow.

Yup I approve. Obviously not cured so it tastes as such but still packs a punch. And it’s not too bad of a preview on how it’s gonna be😎
I think as the actual science evolves the one-month-must-cure thing will ease out the door. I try a little of everything once it's dry. I water it right before harvest then hang it whole with just the fan leaves stripped so I'm getting 7-10 days easy for drying. But I have personally had some that was as good as it was gonna get right after it dried.

It's strain dependent :ROFLMAO: (I love that cop-out) but some things cure better than others. Some get worse as they age - losing color and terps and a little of the punch. Some get way better as they age. You won't know unless you try them AS they age.

Unless you are selling the lot and need it to be at its prime it's not like you're smoking the entire harvest at 7 days

Similar - There is a breeder (I think Duke Diamond?) that was having weed tested anyway so he had a few strains tested at different harvest times to see if there was a prime window for chopping. On one strain the highest total cannabinoid % was before the first amber showed up. They changed ratios as it got riper, the THC got a higher percentage, but the CBD, CBG or whatever was on the way out as that was happening.

Depending on what you are looking for in a buzz that could explain a lot.

Funny that you say that, I’ve always joked amongst others that grow that it’s curing as I’m smoking it. And I agree 💯 percent that sometimes it gets worse etc..it definitely can taste better fresh dried with the abundance of terps still present and so on. But like you pointed out it can start off like shit and taste like gold a month later.

I like variety too much to worry about it, but if I was growing one crop repeatedly I would definitely test it at different stages of harvest and try smoking it weekly until I find the sweet spot - whether it's at three weeks or three months. If it was "my" strain I would want to know when it's at its best.

Thats the Funky /sweet smell I metioned I was getting off mine. It draws me in. Sandy trics too. I forgot to mention that. I guess thats the Hashplant trait. I have unexpeted guest coming and this little plant is stinking up the whole house.

Burn a piece of toast or some popcorn. Hides everything. 😁
If you're real good you throw a chicken in the oven or something in the crockpot

PICK YOUR OWN
I guess I should post something weekly, gotta stay within the parameters!
Other #3 my purple pheno has been hanging for a week.
The rest are in their jars, nothing manicured yet.
I have smoked each of these, and all are good sativa leaners.
If I had to rate them this early without a cure, I'd say the Others are my favorite.
Then This and That coming 2nd and 3rd.

Over all very pleased with Mr James work.

Hey guys,
I ended up chopping all of the plants down early last week without taking any final photos. I had to plan a quick trip with the wife to Montana to take care of her aunt who just come home from the hospital on hospice. So I rushed to chop them down and then she decided she wanted to go by herself and be with the cousin's family anyways. Oh well, they were pretty much done. I do want to thank JJames for the opportunity to grow them out. I really liked the solid plant structure. Also wanted to thank the crew here for treating me as one of your own. After looking through the photos and the few mishaps I had along the way, I never really had a chance, but I will be looking forward to testing them all out and making a purchase over at CLG for his kindness.

You should take some pictures of the dried flowers.
