What is the best bulb in your opinion ?

I am going to run my 1000 until spring and the bulb has about 500 hours on it so i have time but if i see a sale i will grab a spare.

This is solely used for bloom.

I'd say overall it's a 600hps. They are all around great . Of the hps bulbs I believe they are most efficient too. Not sure if that what u were asking. As soon as it's a bit cooler I'm turning it down to 400, and turning the boards on as well .

What bulb would YOU put on your 1000 watt ballast ?

Phillips...ushihio etc

100% for bloom and thats it. Currently running at 600 watts but when that cold air starts blowing its going 1000. I am going to light up 2k watts in bloom to see what it does to my buds.

For personal use...yeah i have a problem...i have to crush shit and i have not be crushing the grow lately..but its tipped the point and the buds are firm as a glass jars now...getting there.

That is what i have now. A hortilux 1k.

The heat...well that is not true unless you have an open hood. I think i love it.

Reverse engineering at its finest...HPS is my new back room light...with a side of 3k boards to cover 6 x 5

Sounds perfect for that size bloom room!! Is there a reason you’re thinking of switching or just eyeing options with your bulb getting older?

I am same way , gotta have backups 🤙. Also they stop making certain things too and that's when I really wished I'd grabbed a spare or two . I'm still using the vivo sun they came with . Can't wait to see those buds g!!

As i grow i understand it all better.

Anyone that would trash an HPS light as if theirs is superior....well if you dont care about the power bill they are wrong.

There is no replacement for displacement.

I said i never won anything somewhere but that is not true...I won this HPS 1000 with ballast in a raffle at IndoorFarmer in Waterloo Ontario...the best damned hydro shop in Ontario!!!

I would probably have never used one otherwise but you can not deny the rock hard buds...the density...the power blasting at your puny inverse laws.
